I wrote this last night in six hours. It's my version of The Burns Cage - same premise, but as it's my own creation, obviously it will differ from the actual episode, which I haven't seen yet, as it airs five hours, thirteen minutes from now.
I thought to write my own version since a little over a year ago (March of 2015), I thought of an episode called The Burns Cage in which Smithers comes out to Mr. Burns, though the original premise I had differed considerably from the premise for the actual episode. I wrote this to be closer to the story details that came out in the ads these last couple days, though I avoided copying the jokes or having the scenes play out in the same way.
Also, it runs a few minutes long and has no B story, as this is a rough draft. I haven't written a screenplay in ten years, so I'm rusty on the format. It's only a first draft, but I like it for what it is.

this was really nice. in the actual episode I felt that they rushed it with smithers forgiving burns, so it's nice that burns wrote a sincere letter to smithers. though you did kind of quickly end smithers and julio, like in just a few lines of dialouge.
